I just bought all the books on my book list at once. It's the scariest thing I've ever done - I've spent more than that amount on shopping trips, but that was when I had no reason to fear debt and poverty! ph34r.gif

Good luck pianocelloflute. I graduated from Surrey longer ago now than I want to admit! It's a really friendly university though is a LOT bigger now than when I was there.

Just beware of final year students organising post video (ok that shows my age should have said DVD) night walks! When I was there all the accomodation was mixed between 1st and final years. There was a bit of a tradition of watching The Omen then taking the freshers for a walk around the cathedral!

Probably not so much of a coincidence! Skylark has a fair idea by now of what to look for in a teacher. I expect that she asked all the right questions first.

ah no, I just meant it was a coincidence that I should say "isn't music FUN" not knowing what Skylark had said .. that was all. Then your comment revealed it all smile.gif

I went to Cambridge yesterday.

I didn't go to Brian Jordan, as I can't leave that shop without music in my hand, and I need to play some of the music I have rather than buy more.

I did browse in Miller's, a shop that is usually busy enough that I don't feel any guilt if I leave without a purchase. Nothing too exciting there.

Yet somehow I managed to come out with Musicianship in Practice Vol 1. G1-3.

These fun thoughts about G1 Prac Mus are all back again :eep:

(I just can't wait to take the day off work. People ask me why I take the day off, or 'are you doing anything nice?' - when I have OU exams I don't usually say, but it makes me smile to myself inside when I know I'm doing something completely insane [by their standards] with my day off!)

I love beetroot. I can buy locally grown organic ones too with the most glorious flavour.

Roasted in a dab of olive oil, or shredded in salad.

I worry about turning pink at this time of year laugh.gif

My last Early Music Shop carrier bag has just given up.
I got one in July 07 when I bought my treble. I then got another one in Nov 07 at the early music festival. One went in to service as 'the carrier bag that lives in my handbag', the other became my work-clothes bag for when cycling to/from work.
And now they have both given up sad.gif

I suspect that means I need to go shopping biggrin.gif

(In case you are interested, the carrier in my handbag is now Lindisfarne Mead, and my cycling bag is appropriately Ben Hayward Cycles [Cambridge]. I went through our drawer of nice carriers, and they were the best I could find...)
