maybe because our general concept of an angel is more conventional.. more like human form with a long 'gown' or 'robe'? Whereas this one is an 'emoticon blob', spherical.... a cartoon version ...

all of these show arms 'coming out of the head' yet no one comments on that.... but a wing on an angelic being ... well.............
