Oh dear, your post reminded me that I had an unopened bottle of Guylian liqueur, kindly given me by my sister-in-law as a late Christmas present. It is no longer unopened and very "moreish", so I can't see it making the weekend at this rate!!

Holz Gedeckt is very pleased indeed that he bought shares in Baileys before Christmas with DC and Skyers around!

Oh my goodness (again).. I haven't thought of a NAME I'll have to wait until we're formally introduced to see if it's a boy or a girl. (It's a 'student' model, I do know that). I've just been surfing for the new strings and bridge it will probably need... and I've been drooling over some viola bows...

You know those moments that are so unutterably humiliating that you remember them forever? The ones that become so hilarious after a few years that you tell them to all your new friends, that become your party piece anecdote?

I've just had one of them. At least I can console myself by remembering it'll be hysterical at some point, hopefully soon!

I got a free glass of Baileys a couple of nights ago, the barman was leaving, I think he was working his last ever shift and he was giving out free alcohol left and right!

Talking of 'Baileys', Tesco has (frozen) profiteroles, Bailey flavoured, and also a Baileys Cheesecake (mad e by Coppenrath und Wiese in Germany) - both are delicious.

There are no such directions in Space. They are specific to our planet, though it would be possible to use them on other planets by common consent.

All planets in our solar system have a North and a South pole - all have rotational poles, obviously only those with magnetic fields have magnetic poles!
You can go to galactic north or south, as the galaxy also has poles (rotational). The 'North Star' (Polaris) is pretty much bang on galactic north (it's close enough for polar alignment using a home telescope, but probably a bit out if you're using something a bit swisher, like Hubble).
But if you were in intergalactic space, you'd be out of luck. Or, you'd have to reference everything to the Milky Way Galactic North (or south)

I should really be doing revision, but I can't really concentrate when my room's a tip, so will clear that up first, but if I'm going to do that, I should really post the letter that's been sitting on my desk for the last couple of weeks, and in the mean time, I'm hungry...

Anyway, saw an opera today and in the dance scenes all the dancers dressed differently and I found this really unorganised/uncoordinated (compared to say in ballet where everybody dresses uniformly). Not quite sure why since in real life people do dress differently...
