Might be something to do with the Handel anniversary this year rekindling interest in his works. smile.gif
DaisyChain
I was trying to think of why it might be. Undoubtedly a film. The only one I can think of at the moment is The Young Victoria.

Possibly Barry, but I *think* he was also the highest faller. Don't take my word for that though! smile.gif
sarah123
It was 42 the year before last, so maybe everyone just hated Handel last year laugh.gif

EDIT: DC, I think Handel was last year's biggest faller, obviously because he managed to drop 250 places in one go!

I'm sure it's used in a TV commercial too. Can't think which one though...

Zadok the Priest is in The Young Victoria yep, I remember cause the uni choir was singing it when I saw the film, and I was entirely too excited to hear it. Especially since common sense dictates that of course we'd hear it at the coronation. tongue.gif

The Bruch Violin concerto came 7th. smile.gif And Mendelssohn was thirty-somethingth, which is higher than the moonlight sonata, so given this is classic fm we're talking about that's pretty good!

The Rite of Spring was on the list, which was more than I was expecting!

Me too, hence why I'm on the forum rather than sending work related e-mails. It's Friday afternoon, and I've been very confused all week as to the day of the week because of having had Easter Monday off!

I want to go home and watch the last two episodes of my Spooks boxset (series 6).

I have had an amusing quote in my head all day: "I quite fancy Hufflepuff: I've always thought they just sit around all day making things with safety scissors and glitter". (Quote by Andrea Riseborough as Annie in the Being Human pilot episode, in response to the question what house would you be in if you went to Hogwarts) and keep giggling at random intervals as a result.

Hmm. Our lot are expected to do 3 months of fieldwork between the end on the 2nd year exams and the start of the 3rd year, and this needs to be organised well in advance (especially as quite a few of the students do their fieldwork overseas). Dissertations are submitted in early March in the 3rd year - so they have just over a year to do them (which is why the students who start their dissertations with a week to go get absolutely no sympathy from staff...).

No, I have to definitely know by May 15th and start research in the summer. Deadline for History dissertations is before Easter in third year.

Exposure to Disney's Snow White as a child. Gnomes are so like the dwarves in that that they somehow conjure up those childhood feelings of being loved and secure in the best of all possible worlds.

That's my theory, anyway!
