On my birthday they bombed hiroshima, but it is also the feast of the trasnfiguration. I chose to celelbrate the latter and contemplate the former as a demonstration of man's in humanity to man.

I bought an apple yesterday. I don't know why, I don't like apples. I just fancied buying one. I haven't eaten it yet.

Maybe you had an urge to see if you really don't like apples or whether you were wrong about it.
I did that with with Olives one day. Now if there's a tray of Olives you can't keep me away from the things.

drink plenty of water. Boil a kettle and put a slice of either lime, lemon or fresh ginger in it and a teaspoon of honey. Then avoid speaking to anyone tonight. Standard advice avoid cold air, smoky atmospheres la-de-da. Don't drink any alcohol, but given you're still at school you probably don't do that anyway.

Ok thanks - I'd never heard the cold air one - is it bad for your voice? Interesting... *Toddles off to find honey*.

Cold air is nasty stuff. Invest in a nice soft scarf, and if it is really cold wrap it over your mouth.

No wonder I couldn't properly carol sing last year then... though carol singing in jeans and a t-shirt was a stupid idea anyway.
I must say, my mum's come in upset about school and proceeded to shout at me - the "try not to speak" advice has been a Godsend. I managed to do what she asked without answering back (something I always do and later regret).

Its a great reason to go up to your room and be a stroppy teenager and not communicate with your parents.
Write note. Sorry not talking today I've overused my voice and been advised to rest it! Can communicate via pencil and paper if you must!

my random thought for the day - it would be so nice if one could play the violin while wearing a thick wooly scarf.
I have various scarves which I wear around the house at the moment and they're so cosy - but I can't wear them for practice.

This is totally random. I was out in my car this evening and needed to fill up with petrol. Imagine my surprise when I saw the name of the filling station was called 'The Busy Bee' Garage. Oh well - I thought i was being original

PS Perhaps I should have put this post on the Petrolheads Station thread......
