My singing teacher said she'd email me last weekend with times for lessons this term, but didn't... I've left it a week cause she's busy, it's not too naggy to email her now is it?

No, I think it would show that you're keen to resume lessons. Perhaps it's an oversight on her behalf, or maybe she's just been too busy, but I'm sure she wouldn't mind your asking provided you sound eager rather than complaining!

I have a two-bar bit of a piece that is proving difficult. I've worked out that, if I start at a speed of 40 beats per minute, play it 10 times at that speed, then 10 times at 41, 10 times at 42 etc, it would take me roughly 90 mins to get up to 110 beats per minute, which is around what I'm aiming at. Hopefully doing that would sort it out once and for all.

The question is is it worth it? happy.gif

Probably! You could up the speed by 2 each time initially, and see whether that works; it would cut the time down a lot.

I was thinking about doing that, I guess it depends on a) how bored I get and b) if my family start hurling abuse at me.

Hmmmmm what footwear goes with Purple tights????

Decided to be "trendy" and got these tights which go perfectly with my skirt (Navy Blue with pink/purple flowers on the bottom)

Now I'm stuck on footwear - No blue shoes!!! And my black ones don't go.

Will silver strappy sandals work????

Might have to wear tan tights after all.

Yes!!! I AM actually going out tonight for a meal smile.gif

Ah Milton... The first time I EVER literally fell asleep over a piece of literature was reading Samson Agonistes. I almost had Heaney ruined for me forever by studying it when I was about ten. Thank goodness I came back to it and got to actually read and think rather than being told "now draw a bath full of blackberries everyone". biggrin.gif laugh.gif

Thankyou for the response but the tights were rather too dark for white. In the end I wore said skirt and tights with a nice white crochet style strappy top and smart white jacket and ...... Pink high heeled sandals with some nice floral decoration on the fronts and a fasten round the ankle strap. Finished off with mainly silver jewellery and pink nail polish.
