Thankyou for the response but the tights were rather too dark for white. In the end I wore said skirt and tights with a nice white crochet style strappy top and smart white jacket and ...... Pink high heeled sandals with some nice floral decoration on the fronts and a fasten round the ankle strap. Finished off with mainly silver jewellery and pink nail polish. The pink of the sandals tied in with the pink of the flowers nicely. I think I looked rather nice in the end smile.gif even if I say so myself ... dry.gif blush.gif

They have to do maintenance work on the line at some point, and they can't do everything overnight, hence planned disruptions.

It's not an ARGH for the scream through, it's not what's made me HAPPY today, it's just got to come out of my head so here in the random thread it gets deposited...

Obviously holidays are a Good Thing, and coming back from them is a Bad Thing, but really, it's just silly this time.
Get back in to work, and it doesn't look like much has progressed despite someone actually taking over what I did for my week away. Nevermind, I didn't really expect that anything would be completed in my absence.
I just want to be at home. There is so much I could be doing in my garden today! Spuds - a few of which were just peaking through the ground when we went away - now they are all up and most are in urgent need of earthing up. Lots of plants ready to go in their growbags in the greenhouse. New seeds which you can plant from May, I still haven't got them started yet (borlotti beans and cucumber and purple kale). The lawn needs mowing. I need to do some more sowings of radish and salad leaves. Leeks need planting out.
There's some stuff I ordered before I went away, which I hoped would be delivered while I was away, and nothing has come but I still haven't been charged, so I suspect my order is lost. So I need to phone up and follow up on that.
There's still a bit of holiday washing to do, as well, I could get that done.
I could play with my two remaining rats (our very elderly lady, we got home Saturday and she was OK, Saturday night she looked a bit wobbly so I said I'd take her to the vet on Sunday or Monday, got up Sunday morning and she'd died - just curled up and gone to sleep very relaxedly. But waited until I got home to give her a cuddle on Saturday night first). Or I could scour the local rescues looking to see if there are any young ladies looking for good quality accommodation.
I need to chase - and rant - at the stupid people who manage our share scheme at work, as they are completely incompetent - I sold some shares in January. Only they did two sales instead of one. I phoned them up to sort it out. Multiple phone calls got me nowhere, although I did get a promise of them phoning me which never happened. So I wrote to them, and said I would only deal with them in writing from now on, and they haven't replied. So they are going to get another letter, sent by recorded delivery so I have proof that they received it. And if I get no response from that, then the next letter will go to their MD, and also be copied to my company's benefit department to ask why we are dealing with these rubbish people. All I want is a refund of the dealing fee for the second sale, £17.50, but it's become a matter of getting them just to acknowledge my existence now!!
Luckily I'm up to date on OU work, an assignment was due in while I was away so I sent it off before I went, and this week I have come back to is a reading week (i.e. a week off) so I don't actually need to do anything this week.

I could do some tootling, despite taking recorders with me on holiday absolutely no practice happened during my holiday - the weather was too good and I spent all day outdoors and just came in to sleep, really! Got to get my thumbnail cut before I can do anything anyway...

Oh well, coming up to 11am, I probably ought to look at doing some work now, having cleared my 66 emails (many ignorable, but quite a few 'urgent' but apparently not urgent enough to find someone to look in to things while I was away!) But first, I'm going to book the Monday off after each of my other two holidays later in the year!!! biggrin.gif

See how you get on with my clari at Leeds. smile.gif

I don't honestly know if your hands will be big enough. unsure.gif My clari isn't the best in this respect, because it's quite old and keywork designs have improved a lot - but I find my clari a bit of a stretch for a couple of the keys. You need to be able to cover the holes completely on the clari.

Can you reach okay on a treble recorder?
