OK. Yes you are right. My comment about pettiness was in response to BabyBird2s comment but as she was only speculating maybe I was wrong to say that.

I think it was in the midst of being deleted as I posted this as it appeared in the list but was not accessible. I just hadn't seen a reason for it to be deleted an initially thought there was a problem in the forum. I do wish when threads are removed the mods would give us a reason/message to explain. Even a quick" Thread deleted at request of OP" would be enough. Could be left under the title even if all posts were removed and the thread closed. I was just surprised to see this one go when some that really should be deleted are left to hang around ....

It's a shame, I thought it was interesting. STill, if we carry on discussing it here they'll never find us!!!

OK, I've done this Derren Brown 'Psychic Spy' experiment.

Draw the same thing that the person from the Science Museum did.

I have drawn a cat. Basically a figure 8 with a tail coming out the right hand side, and two little triangles on the head, which are supposed to be ears. No eyes, nose or mouth.

We had to go to a regatta in London and get there before 9, which meant leaving well before 7. I spent most of the dsay dosing in the sun to catch up on sleep. It was worth getting up for though because I now have a new shiny glass pot thing to add to my (not very big) collection.

I know it sounds selfish, bit I wish I'd never come back to the UK

I am having a tidy-out, and have come across the manual for my bike helmet. Is it normal for such an item to require user instruction?

We all have times like that Sol. Sometimes it's worth getting things written down like that, so don't worry.

A fair number of people seem to not know which way round to put them on, so I guess so.
(Of course, if you buy a helmet with a peak/visor bit, and/or a strappy/cradle bit that goes around the back of your skull, it's pretty much impossible to put it on backwards).

Today is exactly 4 years from when I went for a job interview here in Italy, leading to a total life changing experience.

A squiggle (what I call squirrels) has just bounced along the top lawn of the garden, with a small apple in its mouth! The apple was quite big in comparison to the squirrel- it looked a bit odd!

Aaah...

That's not what I call squirrels! Especially when they pinch all the stuff I put out for the birds.......
