I really like tomatoes. Cherry tomatoes, plum tomatoes, cooked or not, I like them all! biggrin.gif

Oh good...I'm not the only one!! rolleyes.gif

Me too, especially vine ripened tomatoes on the brink of being over-ripe in a sandwich with fresh wholemeal bread, mature chedar cheese, little gem lettuce and a few slices of cucumber, maybe just a hint of finely sliced spring onion too (and no, it's not just a cheese salad sandwich, it's a Tsax cheese salad sandwich!).

That doesn't half make me feel hungry. It sounds brilliant.

And yes, I'm in the liking tomatoes a lot group.....

Metronome: a city-dwelling dwarf.

There was also one about the clarinet that I read in the Uxbridge English Dictionary, but I can't remember what it was. wink.gif

I've just taken my volin out of her case. Her E string is currently flatter than her A string. blink.gif The A string is sharper than it was when I put her away last night, and the E string is a lot flatter. The G and D strings are still pretty much in tune. huh.gif How does that happen... wacko.gif

Would hazzard a guess that it's something to do with the string thickness and relative expansion there of.... This kind of thing happens with the guitar too.

Either that or you've accidentally knocked the tuning pegs as you've put it away - but I'd doubt that.... unsure.gif smile.gif

Do we have a thread for mortifyingly embarrassing thoughts or comments?

So this morning I was driving in to work, newest Red Priest CD on the player. On comes one of the later tracks that I haven't heard yet. Hmm, I recognise this...oh, yes, I know, it's what the string quartet are playing at the party at Nakatomi Towers in the first Die Hard film. Didn't realise that was Bach...[the CD is all Bach]. Stop when I get to work, pick up case, identify the track I have been listening to.

Brandenburg Concerto No 3.

blush.gif oooooops blush.gif

I can't help but think I should have known this as what it was, rather than 'the bit from Die Hard' (hey, but I did know that Ode to Joy in the film was Ode to Joy!)

I just eat the seeds as well...

I remember being terrified of having a tree growing inside me when I was a nipper smile.gif

I saw a video on You tube about a man who complained of chest pains and down the line when they operated or did an MRI, they found a pine spore(?) or seed growing in his lungs! Arggh. I don't know how true this is.

So the moral of this story is don't eat seeds unless you want a grape vine growing inside you. wink.gif

Today my car is being repaired so I'm stuck at home.

Because I live in the middle of nowhere (7 miles from the village) the only place I can go is up to the woods with the dogs.

This may not seem drastic for 24hours but it's amazing how nervous I feel not being able to get anywhere! All the 'what ifs' are worrying.. like the dog needing the vet, my parents needing me, a sudden overpowering need to go the supermarket/bank/post-office, etc etc etc.

It's a good excuse to do some housework and some studying... although I have a strong suspicion I'll be taking my violin out of it's case..... laugh.gif
