I've got the FA Cup match on, and they've just played the theme music. Not a patch on the Match of the Day theme. They don't write sports themes like they used to. Grandstand, anyone?

(Cleaning silver is not really my favourite thing to do, although it can be very satisfying, particularly if the silver was very dirty to start with!)
There's a car parked on my road (a main road), on the double yellow lines and right outside the bus stop for some bizarre reason. The driver (who's an old lady) has just left it there, took her shopping trolley out of her boot and walked off into town...

No, no!It's not a screaming time - it's a time for real congratulations on what you have achieved. I don't know how many teenagers you have survived but I bet you have done a good parenting job. Now relax and enjoy the future!

Just been evacuated from our work building for the second time today. First time, this morning, had to wait for ages outside while it was snowing and while the firemen checked the building. Second time, just now, in the rain! But this time I was better prepared for the cold...coat, scarf, gloves...and even took a cup of coffee with me!!!

Well, I hope you don't spend the evening with the firemen that came to our building because apparently when they came back this afternoon they were in a really bad mood for having to come twice today!!!

When I'm low on money, I'm pretty much forced to get the crappy £7 reeds for my oboe, when the ones I REALLY want, are the £18 ones (and that's just for ONE reed ). Society has gone crazy.

I like snow, as long as I can just look at it from the comfort of somewhere warm.
The thought of going out tomorrow morning in what's likely to be a good bit of snow doesn't appeal...
