Your signature requires cat and flute. Here's both at the same time.

It;s a small cat, so the flute is larger than you think. laugh.gif

And the cat has an unusually large face, making the flute look smaller than it actually is tongue.gif

Very much so although its head to head for my favourite type of music with Classical right now. Picking up instruments has made me obsessed with Classical music :-)

I couldn't reconcile the fact that one of our present GCE music students is a fan of thrash metal but has a penchant for playing Debussy! huh.gif

I wrote him a short piano piece that employed elements of both, based on the notes of his name. piano.gif

I still don't understand it though - onomatopoeic that it surely is, I necessarily had to look up the meaning of 'thrash'. rocker.gif argh.gif

I regularly get funny looks for this too blush.gif I tend to get referred to as the stereotypical "metal-head" of my little group (I don't know why-most of my friends are partial to a bit of thrash too!) but my music teacher is frequently shocked when she sees me playing pretty little classical pieces! I do think that classical music and metal can be very similar though

For those who know their BWV numbers, the number of my posts has recently entered the magical range of organ works. This one is shortly to leave the Organ Trio Sonatas behind (BWV 525 - 530) and embark on a journey through his Preludes and Fugues (BWV 531 +).
I mis-read that as "BMW numbers"...ph34r.gif

My Mum has sold her house. It only took from January. We went for a last look around today as it goes through on Monday. Mum moved last October to sheltered accomodation.
It was sad today. We moved there when I was 20, and just going out with my Barry. I lived there on my days off until I was married, ( when working I was in the nurses' home).
It will be a relief to Mum though.Glad BArry was with us today, or we would have been very blubbery. rolleyes.gif

It is, BUT I have to say that Mum said she was very happy she made the move when she did, because her mobility has worsened since last summer, and it won't be long before she won't be able to go to town on Dial-a-ride anymore. She will need someone with her...........very dizzy at times.
Mum loves the flats where she is, and the warden is great. They have coffee mornings, bingo, quizzes, trips out, afternoon tea, parties (Mum was up until half past midninght on New Year's Eve, and she's nearly 82!!)
So it's not all doom and gloom, just a few sad moments; and no one can take away the memories. tongue.gif
