Good, I always tell my brother when he laughs at my (awful ) violin playing that my mistakes are still more musical than his full-blown attempts at playing, which will be exactly the case with you and your sisters! I'm feeling much better about it thank you, sadly a certain person is still being highly childish but I've decided just to let them get on with it

yup agreed! i realised today with incident at work that with some of those childish people the more you react the more of a kick they get out of pushing you over the edge. best to just ignore them and their silly games/ways and get on with it our way, eventually they get tired of being ignored/not getting the attention they want and move on

anyway glad your feling much better i am too i think am just mildy irritated now, have calmed down from full blown tantrum lol, take care, nighty night m off to beddy byes to read my book

There are swarms of flies outside - not big buzzy ones but like mosquitoes, the sort that you get in a swamp I've got to go out later and it looks horrible and I feel like I'll get bitten to death ....

I've just forced myself through an hour of sight-reading I've literally tried to read everything I could find in that hour, from the simplest of four-bar tunes from years ago to things that are way way WAY above my playing standard! I know it's good for me, but it just sounds so awful... one thing I have learned though, is that the wrong notes played with purpose and aplomb sound much better than those wrong notes played timidly and barely sounding (what I usually do)

Funny - but true.

The Queen & Duke of E are coming to Scarborough tomorrow to officially re-open the refurbished open air theatre, seats nearly 7,000. I had 2 front row tickets given and we were both going to go. However, I have a choir to accompany in concert tomorrow afternoon, so I decided to spend my morning practising.

So, we rang a couple who have been close friends for many years. She had already got a ticket with a friend but hubby didn't have one and was delighted when I gave him mine, he picked it up from me last night, and arranged to meet Mrs O inside.

He only rang me this evening to say that he folded it and put it in his back trouser pocket. This morning his wife washed the trousers without spotting the ticket, so all he has now are a few pieces of papier-mache! He said "what can I do"? I said well the story is so unbelievable that I'm sure they will let you in, if not, you'll have to stand in the road and wave. Watch this space.

Having moved universities I now have a new office. It's a bit darker today than it's been on the other days since I started here, and I can't find where the light switch is.

I also have a similar experience on strangers adding me in MSN,I don't even know who they are,and I haven't seen their E-Mail address before. One of it even asked me if I can open the webcam so he/she can interact with me.

Hum I keep getting these too, I just refuse the invite and report as a spammer each time. They're either trying to get you infected with Malware, get you to sign up to some dodgy site, scam you, or all of the above.

I just keep ignoring but meh, it's still annoying. Almost every time I log into MSN I have a message from some imaginary girl who wants to "hook up" with me and show me her "holiday photos".

Even if it were true, knowing my luck, "hook up" would mean me hanging from the one in a butcher's!

It''s because of these spammers,makes my private space (MSN) looks not so private already.If that imaginary girl really want to hook you up..well..you are among of the 1000 ppl (..or more) who've receive this message.

I managed to get sunburnt despite not having been outside since 8:30 this morning, and my desk isn't by a window. I have now been out and bought some suncream - factor 50.

sitting here, having a break before my late practice at 5pm then I am off out to a lovely party to celebrate a new arrival in a family nearby, their 5th child.. Should be fun though there is Kune Kune (pig) racing and a BBQ to follow. hopefully we wont be eating the winner..Now if only I could summon up the energy it would be perfect..all I want to do is flop. I must wash the car before I go out but it takes hours so that may well get done tomorrow..Hazy Lazy days of summer..

Channel hopping yesterday (or was it Saturday?) evening, we came across Rhianna performing at the Big Weekend. And we paused on the channel for a minute or so. During which Rhianna turned around from back to the audience to facing the audience...and got an ENORMOUS cheer. And then she started to sing...to which my husband said 'oooh, I think you need to spend more time practising your singing, my dear', and off we hopped to BBC4 instead.
He will be delighted to know the forum agrees with his assessment!

I think she's got a great voice! (unlike Lady Gaga who everybody seems to be raving about!!!)

She sounds like a robot to me, "eh eh eh, yeah yeah yeah" and the other banal "lyrics" drive me mad! I can't stand ridiculously, over-dramatic wailing and warbling that seems to qualify as singing in most R&B stuff now either (I blame Mariah Carey for starting it all).

Lady Gaga is great, not keen on her outrageous persona, but I think she is musically very clever, and knows how to put a tune together
