I'm fortunate here in Cheltenham that a 'classical record' shop still exists.

The sheet music shop however, trundled off to Tewkesbury.

How true. Even in Central London, it's extremely difficult to find a shop with decent classical music section these days Following the closure of Virgin and MDC, the only place I know is actually HMV near Oxford Circus. (HMV in Bond St has also downsized their classical music section from half a floor to, umm, about 2 shelfs near the far wall Last time I was there and asked what happened, I was told to either go to there Oxford Circus shop or buy online...)

Our brilliant independent classical (mostly) music shop closed down about a year ago. The people who worked there were so lovely

Hrm it seems to be a myth, after some googling! I'd never seen it myself but thought maybe something in the water could react with ammonia to do something like this.

Go to the front page of the forum, click on 'My Assistant'. One of the options you then get is 'Today's top 10 posters'. Click on that, and voila!

It's also, on most days, available as a link at the bottom of the front page, though, for some reason, this link vanishes on days when there are no forumite birthdays...

Apparently taking B vitamin supplements puts them off - not sure if it's B1?? I think it's one of the yeasty smelling ones....

Kids were advised to take the ABiDEC vitamin supplement before we went to Italy the other year.

In the sketch show Not the Nine o'clock News, the cast performed the first section, one finger per person, one person being added at a time including at least one person lying on the top of the closed lid of the Grand piano, looking down on the keyboard! I would have said that the latter person(s) would have been playing it backwards, as it were, but with only one finger being used that's probably not really the case.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a clip of it.

I am going to order a few bits and pieces from Ikea online (including some things that wouldn't fit in the car). In my area, they deliver on Thursdays only.
I also need a new vacuum cleaner. I've had a jolly expensive one recommended (due to the super-furry, super-shedding cat I own), and I've found somewhere that's selling it with £80 off! They will deliver on a named day, from 2 days after the order.

What are the chances I'm going to be able to schedule these to happen on the same Thursday? And if I do manage to arrange it all, is my manager going to allow me the day off?!

Preferably this one (unlikely), if not the next one (hopeful), after that it will still be OK but I could use the day off before my next OU assignment is due (Aug 10th!)
