How did they decide on the order of keys on a QWERTY keyboard and is it standard throughout Europe?
French keyboards are AZERTY.
I touchtype and it takes me a couple of days to get used to the keyboard when I swap countries. The most annoying things I find are:
A/Q are inverted
M is in a different place
French keyboards only have a full stop in upper case (in lower case you get a semi-colon)
French keyboards have numbers in upper case (lower case has accents, brackets, apostrophe etc.)
