The students managed to close down all the entrances to Eldon Square this afternoon. The police looked like they weren't quite sure what to do. laugh.gif It was all perfectly peaceful. ph34r.gif

Our Minister always start with Christmas carols on Advent Sunday.
By Christmas day we've used all the good ones more than once.

Sunday mornings in Advent here are carol-free zones (and the various community carol services that start next weekend are to be tolerated but not really accepted until after Last Sunday of Advent morning!) (I'm already fearing the Away in the Manger earworm as I've had 2 requests to play it in things so far! ph34r.gif )

what I don't understand is, why did he think that was not a totally bonkers way of acquiring the money? Don't get me wrong, stealing stuff is never right, but I can kind of see how someone might think that robbing a bank was a "feasible" way of getting money. But this??

I learned last night not to adjust doors while drunk. I ended up shutting myself in the kitchen, so had to go around the back through the alley in the dark, where I got stung by nettles several times, only to get to the front door and remember I'd bolted from the inside... d'oh.

Cue me getting back through the alley and levering the door open with screwdrivers... The neighbours must have wondered what the ###### was going on...

Had an e-mail from a certain Irish airline inviting me to buy their gift vouchers as Christmas presents.

I have thought about this really hard, but I cannot think of anyone that I dislike enough to send on a Ryanair flight. There are a few I would like to buy a one way ticket for, but not on Ryanair. Nobody deserves that. sad.gif

I saw one yesterday (same-ish age) with white hair with black and red colours in it!! Little chunks of colour everywhere - very bizarre, especially when paired with the leopard print leggings wacko.gif

hm. I think my flat would have been a contender. When I bought it, it had pink walls, electric blue skirting board, and leopard print carpet.

The cat has just stolen a piece of gristle off my unwashed lunch plate and is attempting to eat it. This would otherwise be unremarkable, but it was a rather hot curry and she is showing no signs of the spiciness bothering her.
