the clocks must have changed already - it wasnt gone 3am last time i looked!
You can play diminished sevenths on a guitar easily - just tune all the strings to minor thirds

Perhaps that's a good excuse for eating desserts (ie more than one which ordinarily might be considered a bit greedy) when you're stressed!!!

There are things one should not do when one is paid to sing a solo in church.
These include
- not getting round to studying the work ahead of time
- assuming the organist has looked at the music beforehand
- assuming that the organist will remember the clock change and will arrive on time for practice
- having the organist turn up with a slight hangover
- trying to disguise the organist's consumption an Alka-Seltzer in the church kitchen, especially if it's a denomination who don't support the use of medicines and the like
- smiling brightly and saying "no problem" as you look at the music for the first time half an hour before the service, even though the lines and dots are dancing a bit in the sunshine
- looking totally staggered when the minister says afterwards "that was a really meaningful solo, you must have worked soooo hard at it....."

It was a Norman Greenwood setting of a poem by Mary Baker Eddy. In our version of it, it had some interesting modulations....

You obviously did it convincingly
I am wondering whether to just stay in my pyjamas all day. Ok, ok, I probably still shouldn't be in them! But I woke up lateish, went adn had breakfast and decided that fluting was more exciting than getting dressed. And then I've done housework, and it's nearly 4, and there is no point me changing into clothes, to change back in a few hours. My brother has done hardly any housework since my parents have left..

Well, I know she hasn't been 100% and I know she only recently went back to teaching. She's in a different county so the school holidays might be different so she just might be busy teaching. We'll see. In a way, changing was really good for me, my playing has been scrutinised from different aspects. But as a person I do miss her.

About a mile away as the crow flies. Very sad for those in the plane but amazing luck that the householders were on holiday.
My wife was closer, in the car, at the time, and noticed a pall of smoke but assumed it was (just) a house fire.

I hope it all works out. My daughter was in a similar position about four years ago. The wedding was all arranged, daughter had paid halves on the bridesmaid's dress, and then the couple decided the bills were escalating, and called it off! Mind you, they then arranged a quiet registry office affair, and they now have two children, so it's a happy ending really.
The trouble is, a big wedding costs so much these days - you really need rich (and stupid?!

) parents to foot the bills.

Today I'm meeting an old friend (who lives abroad) and her two lovely children in the grounds of a beautiful castle and the weather is going to be great. We're going for a walk in the woodland then having coffee in the castle tea-shop. I have two 'goody-bags' for the kids, filled with easter eggs, badges and small toys which I had great fun putting together and I'm dying to see their faces. I just have to remember my camera
(and they call me Auntie Fee and give me big cuddles

even though I don't see them that often and I could really use some cuddles just now

Then we shall go an' ate oop ducks
On Ilkla Moor baht 'at
