Full Version: How Do You Unlock An Lg Chocolate Kg800?

I was trying to set the PIN code for my phone, so when it said 'enter pin', i entered what i wanted it to be (seeing as i haven't set one before). This was obviously wrong because now its demanding the PUK code.

The instruction book doesn't mention anywhere how to get the PUK, or what the default PIN is.

I'd be hugely gratefull if someone can tell me how to sort this out, because i really need it working again for tomorrow.

Thanks in advance

I think this happened to one of my sisters old phones... I *think* you will have to take it into the shop.

hmm, bought it at tesco, don't think they will have a very good idea of what to do with it. With my (really) old Nokia 3310, i just had to ring some number, grovel and then they told me it, but there's no number in the intsructions for this phone, although there's NOTHING helpful in the instructions at all, so thats not really saying much.

very irrelevant, but i thought you were trying to open an 800kg slab of chocolate or something... and sorry but as to the real question i can't help.
Deborah
Hope it's sorted. If not, or for future reference, you may want to note the following:

You have three attempts to enter your PIN number. If you get this wrong, you are asked to enter your PUK code. This is available from your service provider (the contact number will be on your bill (if you receive one); prepay customers are usually given a contact number for their network provider for such emergencies. Otherwise, time to renew your friendship with Google™ or visit the shop where you bought the phone). You have ten attempts to enter your PUK code, but if you get it wrong ten times, you destroy your SIM card so will need a new one. The PUK code is related to the SIM card, so you may want to keep a note of it somewhere (but nowhere too obvious!) in case it happens again.

Now, did someone mention 800kg slabs of chocolate?

I'm sure we wouldn't have too much trouble opening an 800kg slab of chocolate...
