Anyone ever done anything musically that they are ashamed of? Everyone here comes across as lovely and dedicated and as the sorts of people who would never do the things that teachers complain about - but I know I'm not. Until I came on here I didn't even realise a lot of the things I was doing were bad - but some things I knew were bad as I did them, so a list of apologies.

Firstly, to my first piano teacher - I'm sorry you had to waste so many years on me while I didn't practise. I'm sorry that when you phrased things as "would you like to..." I often said no, sorry that I then got my mum to quit for me.

Secondly to the orchestra leader at my primary school - sorry that when my brother went up to secondary school and I replaced him I didn't learn any of the piano tunes, and you had to move me to percussion.
Then I'm sorry that I hadn't the slightest idea of which percussion instrument was for which song.
Sorry I quit as soon as I was allowed, but not that sorry, because I'd probably have caused you more pain if I'd stayed.

Thirdly... nope that's it. tongue.gif tongue.gif I wonder if my orchestra leader ever comes on here - I bet she'd recognise me from this.

Awful wasn't it? ph34r.gif I would never do anything like it now!

Anybody else ever done anything like that?

I've started and quit more instruments than i can remember ph34r.gif
but, in my defense, i was about 8 at the time ph34r.gif
i regret quitting (most of) them now.

One or two things I regret (like not practicing when I was young, giving up etc. - all the usual suspects) and some embarrasing moments (e.g. corpsing in front of a large, live audience) but nothing I can think of that I'm ashamed of. And, to (?mis) quote A A Milne, ". . . would [you] expect me to say if I had?"
