Woohoo! I am SO pleased, today I auditioned for the orchestras in my school (there are two, junior orchestra and senior string only orchestra). Having only played violin for less than a year, self-taught and about grd. 3 standard, I expected if anything to get into the junior orchestra.
Well, my teacher heard me and said I was good enough to get into the 2nd violins in the senior string orch.!
I'm EXTREMELY happy because I've never been in an orchestra before and I can't sing so haven't been in the choir - this is kinda like a dream for me. Every year our school has spring concerts and I always went to watch and wished I could be on the stage, now It looks like I'll be there!

I've just returned from our first meeting! Twas most fun, I had to sight read though so was lost almost all the time, but I had a go again at home and figure there should be few problems come next week. It's not difficult music, but jumping straight in at my level was a bit much! Practise makes perfect tho!
