This seems like a good place to announce that son1 Airman, who has been mulling the resumption of his musical education (interrupted at age 8), bought himself a Tombo Band 24-hole C harmonica! He's currently cycling home to his dorm as fast as he can to clean his teeth and practice it.

I?m sure there's a girl involved in this somewhere...but anyway, let us have music!

I remember reading that Rod Stewart was discovered (by whom, I can't remember) playing Howlin' Wolf on harmonica while waiting for a train. Interesting that he wasn't singing! (I love you really, Rod )

I　hear that Airman has progressed as far as "Twinkle, twinkle..." so I　don't think Stevie or Rod need to step aside just yet. He's been working on getting single notes so that he can play more accurately.

I bought my eldest son a harmonica when he was 5-6 and then started playing around with it. I wouldn't say I'm an expert, but it wasn't too difficult to pick up the basics. (Forgotten them now, but you'll probably be able to do the same thing!)
