Hello everyone. I know I have my opinions on what grade/standard these pieces are, but wanted to know what you all thought. so, grade these violin pieces (0-8, diploma):
Tchaikovsky 'melodie' op42
Handel sonata in E (complete)
Bach double, 1st, 2nd , 3rd mvmts individually
Mozart concerto in G complete
Kreisler 'preludium and allegro'
Beetchoven Romance in F - violin&orch
Mozart adagio in e - violin&orch

varying opinions i see. Why is Bach double so low? fliddlingfee - how is the mozart concerto grade 7? why moz adagio lower than the romance?

I can only rate a few of these but in my opinion:
Bach double - all about Grade 7 standard
Kreisler "Praeludium und Allegro" - Grade 8
Beethoven "Romance in F" - Grade 7

Beethoven was set for Grade 8 a few years ago. I took it on tour with my school orchestra. Twas great!

Well the Mozart concerto is listed on the DipABRSM list, it is definitely grade 8+ - Mozart concerti will reveal pretty much any technical flaws which you have, they're superficially fairly straightforward but are infact very difficult
