Hi just started playing Mozart's Fantasia no.1.
Can anyone tell me what level it is out of curiosity ? thanks
Its fairly easy to play even at my level, but some of it does look grade 8 ish.Ive also not seen some of the phrases before ( just a simple question of looking them up in the book) which ive not seen at Grades 5/6

Thanks

It has been set as grade 6 by ABRSM but I think the general consensus is that it's a hard piece for that grade. Trinity have used it for grade 7.

There was quite a lot of discussion about it at the Chets summer school this year - the teachers there reconed it was one of those peices that was very hard to play well and they deal with incredibly gifted kids with diplomas!
