After reading people's views on Auralia on this forum and having tried the demonstration model I have decided I would like to buy the complete programme. However, I can't actually find anyone who wants to sell it to me! When I use the offical Auralia site I get a French dealer who (when I sent them an e-mail) told me they don't actually stock it because it is only available in English and there is no demand. Trying to find a seller in Europe only came up with Thomann in Germany but they haven't answered my e-mail asking whether it was in English or German.

Can anyone suggest a UK mail order site which has it, or a shop in London which would stock it (I will be in the UK over Christmas)?
Thanks

That's what I did but buying it is country specific so because I am in France I automatically get directed to a French retalier who in fact don't stock Auralia because there is no demand for it (although I could have bought Sibelius had I wanted to). I can't see how to bypass this automatic redirection to a French shop which is why I was asking where other people had bought it (or a computer expert to tell me how to bypass the system).

Do you have friends/family in GB who can buy it for you then post it on?

I'm coming to the UK over Christmas so I could buy it then. Is there a shop in London where I could buy it (rather than order it) so that I can take it back with me? (If I order it online from an English computer when I get there it won't arrive before I leave).

I've never tried to get it from a shop so I'm not 100% sure, but you could try one of the big London shops like Chappell's. Any shop should be able to order it in for you if you give them a call first... but whether it arrives in time for Xmas is another matter...

It's on amazon.co.uk if that's any help...

I'm fairly certain I saw it for sale in Forsythes in Manchester a while back. I know this in itself is of no use to you but if they sell it then other Music shops must do likewise. Can you use Yell online to find Music Shops close ot where you are staying and then ring or email and ask them if they stock it.

Sorry if it's a daft suggestion.
all ears
I could swear I bought mine from Amazon.com (US).

At one time Auralia and most other software couldn't be exported from Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk, but they "de-listed" a lot of software, I notice, making life a lot easier for expats!

As kerioboe says, they want you to buy from your local retailer...who of course has no reason to stock English-language software!

Thanks TSax, I've just ordered it. I buy loads of books from Amazon but it hadn't occurred to me to look for music software there.
