How do you restart after a break? In my case it's only six months (due to house moving and everything associated with it), but now I can't play. My fingers are stiff, my guitar sounds dead because it's not been played, pieces that were under the fingers have migrated somewhere else, and my fingernails are short and raggy (a guitarist-thing).



Any suggestions are very welcome!

Same as when you first learned and with anything you need to work on over a period of time:

LITTLE AND OFTEN!

Also, don't expect too much of yourself and certainly no more than you would expect of someone else in your position....

Sounds like good advice. Funny how you somehow expect to carry on where you left off, even though you know it doesn't work like that!
