Have a great Christmas everyone

Just finished preparing all the veggies, thrusting my hand up to the elbow into a rather (over)large turkey, roasting the gammon, wrapping up the pud, wrapping up the presents, dusting down the organs and the piano in readiness for Boxing Day when we shall be descended on by organists of great reknown (annual get-together for a drop of gin and a good gossip!)

and now I'm going to wrap me up.................in bed.

Ok...

well, usually the whole family sits down together in the lounge with the tree, and opens the presents with the dog

But everyones arguing this year and swearing at each other, not me of course

My mum is really upset and can't cope with everyone else shouting when she always works so hard to cook the meal and decorate the house etc.

Sounds like tensions are running high...we were on the verge of that at one point (my brother was up at 4 this morning having been warned not to disturb my parents before 7 ) but thankfully it didn't escalate! Hope today improves for you.

Tensions are high here too, though it doesn't sound as bad as at your house... My brother wants to watch football all day and apparently I'm "acting like a forty year old gay man" because I like musicals. You wouldn't want to hear the names I've been called now that my mum's forbidden both musicals and sports.

It's all fun though... I think...

Sang this morning, got home about one, and we are about to sit down to lunch in about 10 minutes.

Happy and peaceful Christmas everyone. Enjoy your day and I hope it improves for those who are not having the greatest of times at the moment. A good walk usually helps to improve tempers. Perhaps you could kick all of the others out in the fresh air for an hour or so. Either that or suggest that they should go on the Jerry Springer Show.
