I suppose it doesn't really matter as i'm getting a nice new one next month, but recently bow hairs keep snapping on my bow mad.gif Like snapping in half. All the time.
It's a very cheap bow (came with my old stentor and has been VERY used!), but still...
I know hairs snap on bows sometimes but surely it's not supposed to happen this often?
It's like one or two hairs snap every other day recently.
I don't have my bow very tight and i don't exactly play aggresively... maybe it's something to do with my recent excessive practise of staccato bowing XD (i have a piece in my exam where the notes are 70% staccato).

How often is normal for hairs snapping on bows? =/

It's probably your staccato practice that's doing it. I had the same thing years ago when I was practising something which involved hammering the bow as hard as you can onto the middle two strings so that the outer two would vibrate as well. It doesn't sounds all that excessive in view of what you're practising.
