After being hammered for nearly 40 years my old upright is ready for some significant restoration (felts/hammers, dampers, polishing capstans, regulating the action, possible replacement of some strings, etc.) It is a fundamentally sound and good quality instrument so it ought to be worth the expense.

Can anyone recommend a piano technician or company in the North West of England that could do the work. (Although I am currently in Utrecht my British home is in Lancashire).

Please, I am only interested in recommendations of people that you have actually used yourselves and been happy with. (i.e. not second hand recommendations or names from the phone book!)
