I've been learning the flute for one year (age 41, working towards Grade 4) and have a problem that doesn't seem to be improving over time: when I play long notes my top lip quivers. This usually sets in after about 5 or 6 consecutive long notes, as if the lips are getting tired, and I end up with a horrible, unwanted 'vibrato'. It's really irritating, and neither my teacher nor I know what's causing it. I'd be very grateful for some advice how to get rid of it!
