Hi everyone! smile.gif

I'm taking Grade 8 Clarinet (and Piano) on Oct 4th and am very stressed out! But more so over clarinet as I haven't been playing as long as piano.
The 3 pieces I'm playing are:
1. Mozart's Clarinet Concerto, Mvt 1
2. Cooke's Sonata in Bb, Mvt 2
3. Chris Allen's Progressive Studies for Clarinet #56.

I'm having so much trouble with memorizing scales. Does anyone have any advice? Time is running out and I am so worried! And does anyone know where I can find the required speeds for the scales; I think it's something like quaver=88 but I'm not sure.

I did Grade 5 and 7 clarinet (were both merit...argh) and all I want to do is pass Grade 8; it's so hard.

Also, does anyone have advice on aural? I did do well on Grade 5 Music Theory but that's not really the same thing. I have problems with sight-singing and sight-reading, and recognizing the chords (dominant, tonic, etc).

I'm just a mess, aren't I? sad.gif I'd really appreciate any advice! Thanks so much.
