Two things today...
I decided to be brave and despite 34 years of absence from playing 'cello, and only one lesson so far, I attended the 'introductory' orchestra that is run near Chester - it's designed as a feeder to the main orchestra. Big age range from children to people certainly in their 60s. I didn't disgrace myself

and the conductor would like me to stay for main orchestra next week - but agrees a couple of the pieces will be beyond me (opening movement of Mozart 40 anyone?

). Had a look at the music and some seems almost playable

.
Second thing was on returning from Chester was zooming to Gloucester for the forum event - I won't repeat post on that thread, suffice it to say, it was a good do
