Hmm... how about this: I WILL be happy in 5.5 hours because I will have finished at least 60% of my homework and will then reward myself with an hour bashing at Chopin and/or Schubert?

Woooo party1.gif

Now this is where I failed at school ... homework got forgotten for too much Mozart and Weber on my clarinet. Clarinet got good schoolwork suffered, now as I use none of the school work thats not all bad but would have been had I have wanted to become a Brain Surgeon rather than a music teacher ... clarinet.gif

They are ridiculously inefficient at times, and you certainly have to watch them and check eveything

Haha, well, that didn't actually end up happening because I became addicted to math homework (which also made me happy smile.gif) and went on for a good 7+ hours, at which point it was past 1 and I decided sleep would make me happier than practice ph34r.gif This is why I'm aiming to become a scientist rather than a musician... though maybe the two aren't mutually exclusive.

Today I went out for a bit of a walk/run at lunchtime (the first time I have run since...hmmm...1992 I reckon). Quite enjoyed it, and found that the big park over the road is a lot bigger than I thought. I had a nice lady talking in my ear on a podcast telling me when to walk and run and telling me how great I was doing smile.gif Anyway, I kind of enjoyed it, and it was a lot more walking than running (1st run of 1st week of "Couch to 5K", a nine week programme for complete beginner runners - don't get me wrong, I still totally love my bicycle, but it is nice to have something different to do [also we have a cross-trainer indoors, which might get some use as the weather gets colder and horrider])

Tomorrow is Tuesday, so working in west London day. Nevermind, get plenty of reading done.

Wednesday I have the day off, and will voluntarily be going in to London - going to a bookbinders, and then probably just doing some bimbling around, visiting places and generally not doing much except enjoying it (one of the best things about being in central London with nothing to do...looking around yourself and seeing things, which you know the millions of people in a hurry hurry hurry just don't see!)

Thursday working again, but locally. Music lesson after work.

Friday I have the day off again, and I'm back to London again for Greenwich. Possibly via Liverpool Street, possibly avoiding that, haven't yet decided (trying to work out the chances of parking at near-ish tube station as opposed to walking to local mainline station - one is a half hour drive away, the other is a half hour walk [no parking at our mainline station on weekdays, season ticket holders only])

All in all, should be a good week, but very odd to be going to That There London three times, will be exhausted by the weekend I expect (when I am due to spend Saturday day time in Cambridge too!)

Realising that recent devastating family problems (that have not gone away) DON'T mean that all optimism and happiness in life should be cast away in favour of the expectation that I should wear a black cloud of misery!

So, family duties apart, this will be a lovely week with a wonderful new painting underway (a giant fish!), meeting up with a friend I've not seen for a very long time, and some quality time with some really lovely people biggrin.gif

Arggggggh. Why do you ladies enjoy shopping so much? unsure.gif

On the subject of Christmas cards; I created a simple database so I can print off address labels, thereby streamlining the whole process, and helping Postie at the same time. Management says they are too impersonal, but she asks me to print off the labels all the same so she can copy the addresses in her own handwriting. blink.gif

Just did a quick google and the only one coming up is the Reading one; they require a PGDip or something of the sort. 15,000 word dissertation!
