Well, it's a day off Guildhall and having to get up at the crack of dawn!!

I actually didn't get up until 9am then spent an hour chatting to my Slave (Hammerklavier) - all very civilised!

Had a great day on the rock today....27 minis parked up in casemates, the big square, and then a run around/up/down the rock, escorted by 4 police bikes!! Met a really good bunch of people and we hope that this is something we can do as a family in the future. We were one of 4 classic minis, and she looked mighty fine.

Kids loved it too!!

She does indeed! The Miss Marple, IMO.

And in the opinion of Agatha Christie herself. She wrote to Hickson - after seeing her on stage - and said she hoped she would one day play Miss Marple. Hickson was, at that time, about 40 - she went on to play the part more than 35 years later.

It means that the only options without a huge budget are the Pearls and TJs. I'm not so keen on the keywork on the JF own brand one. I've tried one of the Pearls before (twice in 2 different shops) and it was okay but not a love on 1st play, and I did really want to try the Jupiters...

I have been. smile.gif I only tried the silver-plated Pearl, not the silver headed one, but it didn't have the depth to the sound that I wanted. The silver-headed one might be better. I liked the sound of the JF one when I tried Judster's, but didn't like how the keywork was arranged. The worst one was definitely that one with velcro on it which I tried the time you were with me - do you remember it? laugh.gif

I went looking for a new violin bow yesterday- not only have I a great new bow but I also seem to have a new violin.....still not quite sure how it happened rolleyes.gif Think it was hubby's fault because he'd asked if I was gong to try some violins while I was there....

Just had a chance to 'noodle' with Hannah, my viola, for three quarters of an hour. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

After a stressful few weeks it felt lovely to play again and I'm going to try and get back into a practice routine. The lovely people at ABRSM are refunding my exam-fee due to my family circumstances so I will apply to take an exam in 2012 session A...... and move up a grade!!! ph34r.gif laugh.gif

My next happy....getting to practice on a lovely instrument and then watching the last Harry Potter film with the family for the first time, complete with crisps, popcorn and chocolate!!! A real home cinema experience biggrin.gif

Thanks! It would suit meright now,not too many hours andfits in with teaching and gives me experience too..
