Hmmm. I'm not sure that I agree. Triples, straight sixes and V12's sound much more musical.

a) exercise
b) do 90 mins organ practice (proper practice with pedal arpeggios et al!)
c) go food shopping
d) clean the oven (bleurgh!)
e) clean the wooden venetian blinds in the kitchen (most hated job in the world)
f) clean the windows
g) spruce up Xmas wreath on front door with fresh yellow roses
Now just need to vacuum and clean kitchen floor and I can go back to being a slob again.

I got up this morning, checked my e-mails, and found out that I had won the Lottery!!!
Of course they don't tell you in the e-mail how much you have won, so after fiddling around remembering passwords etc all the time with "What If?" going through my head. I'm not greedy, it wouldn't need to be the jackpot, something with 4 figures would be very welcome. It was ?10, so not life-changing, but still maybe a nice omen for 2012?

Just had a lovely picnic on the beach for New Years Day. Weather is gorgeous, it was so warm in the sunshine and the boys stripped off to their shorts and went for a swim!
Warm roast chicken, mayonnaised potatoes, coleslaw and crisps, followed by mince pie and clotted cream and other goodies.
Ahh, it was a feast!!

Silly little thing to be happy about but..
arrived at the office today to discover I had received a brown paper package tied up with string. That was pretty exciting by itself, but when I opened it I discovered | had been sent a really nice Romanian rug as a New Year's present by a Romanian firm I've sent very occasional work to.
Of course, it will be a source of grief when our pet moths get it..
