Happy for me - been out shopping with my mum AND got more work done than I normally get done in a day Must do some piano practise though... will listen to the wonderful Scariabin Piano Sonata No. 10 again tonight, pity it won't be live as it was yesterday though!

Just noticed I passed my 7th 8th forum birthday a few days ago.

Not sure whether that's cause for celebration or not- but I can't think where else to put this!

my happy, band last night, thumping headache but caught more notes this time round I think!

Selling lots at the moment, lets make 2012 a good one Bit hectic but oh well ...

These are enquiries from over the Christmas period, but the 5 are firm bookings...gulp! The hardest thing is that I'm having to plan 3 lessons before the books arrive (yes, normally takes up to 3 weeks to get post here). I have one spare book, but not for adults or the very weeny ones (both of which I have starting!). I am having to be quite creative!!

The house has also had a spring clean this weekend in readiness

I have my first piano lesson tomorrow. I'm really nervous. First one in 24 years!

I seem to have finished filling in all the forms the French admin require of me. Phew!!!
Mind you, when I get their replies I'll probably be raving on the aarrrgh thread. But it's done for the moment!

1. listening to my new CD (Satie: Gnossiennes, Gymnopedies)
2. scales revealed I'd lost a pound (the lb not the ? sort!)

Just knowing yesterday is over is making me happy - it wasn't a good day.


The highlight though was receiving a complimentary viola string in the post and when I tried it out I fell in love with it! Now just have to raise the money for a full set.


But today's looking good: lots of painting and a great long walk with the dogs across the fields because the morning weather report says sunny and warm (why are there no sunny weather smilies???)

Ah, you as well? My yesterday wasn't too clever either...

I spent so long convincing myself not to type that SB!

I'm not sure if I am happy or not, but I have finally said goodbye to Windows XP, after too many years.

It feels a bit like losing an old friend not seeing it on my screen in the morning, but I don't miss the occasional temper tantrums, waiting ages for it to get going, and the stubborn donkey just deciding that it didn't want to go my way for no obvious reason.

For now '7' seems much, much faster, and less prone to spit it's dummy out. It also uses all of the memory I have installed, but I daresay I shall be visiting the Scream thread very soon. I have yet to get my printers to work with it properly, which may be a challenge. And why does Microsoft insist on moving things to obscur places so I can no longer find them.

I dumped Windows at home for Linux in 2007 and never looked back... but yes, know what you mean about a bit like losing an old friend. However, I *am* much happier without this old friend now

My next project is to update to Server 2008, as 2003 has become very slow recently, and is causing all sorts of problems. (I have downloaded a six-month trial to see if it will work for us.) However, I have a horrible feeling that that particualr installation will be reported in the Scream thread.

I've just got the news that the decision to stop my working tax credits has been reversed and not only are they going to restart but I'm due to get a big payment next Wednesday due to the backlog of missed payments! SO pleased it's finally been sorted as it was a real struggle financially for a while

Sadly, whilst some of the forum coterie were enjoying some joie de vive, others spent two days in an IT architecture conference trying desperately to avoid the need for matchsticks to stay awake and then pack their desk up for an office move across site... not that I'm envious in any way at all
