I've already managed to eat half the loaf. It is carrot, cheese and herb bread.

Much less traffic today. Got from Wirral to Horsforth Office in 1hr 45min, normally 2hrs is the best I can hope for.

Hope this is the first of many. It would be great if someone did a really good cinematic version of The Mist in the Mirror; another scary tale by Susan Hill (although if they ever did, I doubt if I would ever do another note of organ practice!)

I still have a funny feeling about "The Mist in the Mirror" a long long time after reading it. Absolutely no way in this life am I going to see "The Woman in Black". (I scare very easily ) although it sounds very good - I just know that it would scare me rigid for months.

Got a confirmation for the Alexander technique workshop I applied for. The 25th of march will be Alexander day for me. Three hours workshop on basics in the morning, followed by 45 minutes single lesson in the evening.

I can confirm that the 100% record of absence here was maintained.

I have very happy memories of a fab few days

Emailed manager to ask for afternoon off - to go to Cambridge with non-functional brand-new iPad.
A bit later I cunningly thought I'd switch the iPad on to write down the error message to show the shop.
iPad promptly decided to work and let me complete set-up via a physical connection (yesterday didn't give me the option - it connected to wifi, was happy with the connection, but would go no further).
Took iPad off of physical connection and returned it to wifi only.
And it works.
Emailed manager and said I didn't need the afternoon off now (but probably should have taken it, just to play with the iPad )


Also had an email from my mother who is currently in Australia to say she'd seen something in a sale and could I go to the UK site and see if it was on sale in this colour and size, and if not in another colour, and don't worry, but but but...and managed to order the thing she wanted in her size in her first choice of colour. So that will make her happy which is nice (even if it does now mean I have an account on the 'FitFlop' website )

My piccolo restoration has been successful, it plays!! A couple of minor tweaks to perfect it and then I can play it at band tonight

A lovely (long) phone-call full of giggles with a friend yesterday... I'm still smiling this morning

The owner of our Company (whom actually we rarely see, as theres a holding company between us and him), has offered me two tickets for 'The Marrage of Figaro' at Glyndebourne in August. He's fixing hotel as well, though whether its at his expense or ours I dont know at the moment!

Buying a new pair of trainers from M&S, and also getting my hands on the 2012 Naxos catalogue. All I need now is this years Classic FM Full Works one.
