Three wonderful lessons.
My piano teacher has put me into a master class with Penelope Roskell, Concert pianist, and a piano teacher at Trinity College of Music! I'm very excited, but also a little nervous about playing for such a fantastic pianist!
When my Piano teacher said that it was a masterclass with one of her old college friends, i thought it might be a very good local pianist, but i was shocked when i looked her up and realised i'm playing to Penelope Roskell!
She apparently specialises in health and recovery after injuries, yoga, and muscles etc., which will be interesting.

A patient told me that along with her surgeon and a few other nurses, that I had changed her life for the better, and that she was going to live every minute to the full.

It's lovely when you feel that you might have made a difference - and reminds you why you entered the health profession in the first place. Too much bureaucracy these days - targets, paperwork......

Didn't make me happy at the time (arguing doesn't), but the result today is good, I've refreed one of the possible Teddington dates that I momentarily lost, and it's looking more hopeful for Stalybridge (another date I was about to lose)...

I got an accompanist for my flute exam. It was already yesterday, but I still could dance around my apartment. I am just so glad. And now, I am starting to get really nervous. That's coming up sooooo fast!

Having time to go with Hubby to choose a new 3-piece suite - our old one is in the most dreadful condition and really not fit to be seen (14 or 15 years of family life have killed it off!), so it's wonderful to have a new one on order. We may even take delivery before Christmas!
Coming across a couple of bargains at an antiques fair - I got a set of 10 classical CDs for £5 and then I got a *huge* book (1100+ pages, weighs half-a-stone ) called the World of Music, also for a bargain price - it's got covers of Norwegian wood and a leather spine, and it will probably take me years to read it
