Looking at a very funny website. You know the current craze amongst posh blokes of wearing bright red trousers? (generally along with tweed jacket, brogues etc) - there's a website just with loads of photos of them proudly doing that. I know that doesn't sound funny, but it is... I can't type the exact name of the website as it has a naughty word (no naughty content though, I promise) but if you google 'look at my red trousers' you will find it.
Hmmm - I wear tweed and brogues - not all the time! However, I draw the line at red chinos.
You've no idea... Living in a rural area, tweed is de rigueur. However, in the chamber choir the secretary, librarian, and I have concluded that a certain personality type seems to go with the red chinos as we've encountered a couple of "characters" in recent years. One is a bass (thank fully moved on now) who thought he was God's gift to womankind, the other is a conductor (not ours) who is a retired surgeon and thinks that everyone is his flunky (think James Robertson Justice as Sir Lancelot Spratt).
Apologies to anyone who wears them and does not fit this stereotype
I definitely will not be buying the red chinos.
