LOL primrose!!!
For me - getting through the last week at Guildhall. It's always enormously stressful - tired children, small room becoming increasingly hot and airless as it's stuffed to the gunnels with parents watching classes...no break because of the Y6 Leavers' Concert...spending hours planning the lessons down to the nth degree so that all goes well with parents watching...spending more hours writing individual cards to the leavers, wrapping up tuning forks as leaving presents, cutting up pages of stickers...staggering in with four bottles of wine and two plants for a lovely cello teacher who's leaving...staggering back again with bags of pressies...
I'm just not very good with stress

. Less than five hours' sleep didn't help, either..
But I have to say I really enjoyed listening to all the Y6 leavers play - I never usually get the chance and have no idea what they are like on their instrument! They were all fab, with a couple of really outstanding ones. I didn't realise that one boy in my class has Grade 8 distinction (violin)

.
The highlight for me was a chamber group playing Dvorak - so sensitive, so mature - amazing, for 10 and 11 year olds.
