I was glad to get back from Leeds this afternoon. It was far too busy for my liking!

Making my organ debut! Just 2 carols out of a whole concert's worth of songs (which I accompanied on the piano) but I have fretted about it for months! Managed to make a big noise and impress everybody...

My music tutor... I played the violin to him today, for the first time. As is known, I do not have a very high opinion of my violin playing. I made the excuse that I was out of practice.
"That doesn't sound out of practice to me! You're a good violinist - you make a nice sound!"

My boyfriend getting so stroppy with the christmas tree lights that he pushed the tree over.
He just informed that if they don't go on the tree properly this time round he was going to "bust the christmas tree and we won't have one this year"
I think it's hilarious

Mixed blessing today - I was utterly ashamed of my last, rushed essay, so I promised myself I'd do tons and tons of work on this one. I've spent the day doing that, and not got THAT far with it - all the work is probably not reflected in the results of my research, but I do feel like I understand it a bit better, and now I have a starting point, so that's made me happy today.

Well done, Lucky! Students of arts subjects have to be so self-disciplined; I think the ones who manage it are amazing.

Having acres of time in which there is always the choice of working or being idle, it must be so tempting to keep procrastinating and then suddenly hit panic stations as an essay deadline approaches.
As a science student so much of my time was claimed by lectures, tutorials and lab work that I just got on the treadmill as one does at school. I used to envy the arts people their choice of when/whether to work, but I certainly didn't envy them their essay crises!
