yes I am a lucky guy.

I know what you mean about the car. I watched my neighbour chucking some hot water over his windscreen the other day. I thought doing that would shatter the windscreen, but it didn’t. I don’t think I will try it.

I thought I wouldn't have enough music for the woodwind ensemble to play on the open nights this week, but as it happens, I have plenty! biggrin.gif One less thing to worry about... tongue.gif

I have a hanging basket by my front door, at the moment it has lots of pansies in it.
When it has been cold overnight, the pansies have flopped down but then got back upright during the daytime.
But for the last week, with it being cold all day, the poor pansies have just been flopped the whole time. I thought they must have got so cold that they were done for.

And I left the house this morning, and they were all perked up again! Which made me smile smile.gif to have some colourful flowers back. I'll water them when I get home, now I know it's not going to freeze in to a solid block overnight!

My husband does this every time his car gets iced up and (so far - but we are talking decades!) it's never shattered the windscreen. Yet I still refuse to do it to my own windscreen, as I feel it ought to shatter it! Is this just me refusing to learn from experience? biggrin.gif

Sounds as if your energy levels are back to normal then - anyone who can face cleaning an oven must be very fit! tongue.gif Pleased to hear you're feeling so well.

Oh it's a horrible job isn't it! ill.gif laugh.gif
And not because my oven is that dirty, because it wasn't really, but because of the fumes from the oven cleaning stuff/spray/foamy gunk bleaughghghghg

The reason I was cleaning a relatively clean oven is that we've just bought one of those combination microwave/convection ovens and we won't be using the 'big' oven now. There's only two of us so the 'little' oven will be enough.

And it's the first time in ten years that we've had a microwave... we've forgotton how to use it! laugh.gif

(okay I'll stop going on about ovens now rolleyes.gif blush.gif )

What's made me happy today is that I don't have to clean my oven..... laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Not today but at music club a few days ago. One little lad was trying to work out the correct rhythms to fit Polar Bear. He placed three crotchets down. His friend who was a year younger at six years old replaced them with two quavers and a crotchet and said to him "Get real, Mate!" That kept me amused for the rest of the day. biggrin.gif

Yesterday really but I'm still happy today biggrin.gif

- My clarinet teacher telling me that I'm not as far off thinking about G5 as I thought I was (although I can't say I'm in much of a hurry biggrin.gif)

I've just been shopping online biggrin.gif...

I've bought a new pair of brand new Crocs (£12 from ebay)

A new bridge for my violin as requested by my teacher (from someone that doesn't charge postage because it was making me mad that some companies were trying to charge £2+ to post a tiny little violin bridge mad.gif laugh.gif )

Some new canvas and paint for my next commissions (yippee)

It makes me very happy I didn't have to drive anywhere for the things I needed because it's throwing rain outside and the city is over 40 miles away.... laugh.gif party1.gif

Quite rightly he is. But precious few people are mentioning the co-pilot, who should be given just as much credit!

There, I've given him a public shout! So that's made me happy (along with some of my code having done the magic "leave it overnight and it might work in the morning" thing)

Finally received my exam dates today! Grade 3 Singing on 16/2, Grade 6 Piano on 27/2.

I am glad I have at least a month to the actual dates. Should be easier to book venue trials this time round.

And my ex-colleague has agreed to be my accompanist! It is her first time too, so we are both excited biggrin.gif

A really good jazz class. The right combination of playing stuff we were comfortable with and being pushed to do new things. I feel as though I've learnt something today.
