Had a really lovely mumsy morning with my son. Baking biscuits first and then laying out his train track - all over the lounge floor! rolleyes.gif

Just had coffee and home made biscuit whilst he's in preschool. The rain's stopped, sun's shining, picking my daughter up in a minute, my husband will be home early AND .... it's the weekend. What more could I want? biggrin.gif

Testing the electronic piano that I seem to have acquired (quite why, I am not so sure! tongue.gif ) and playing stuff without music, thus realising I am much closer to a performance standard than I thought I was on the Debussy! biggrin.gif

The day didn't start brilliantly - I got to the station, the train was delayed, arrived about 10 minutes late. I got on it and it didn't move for 10 minutes. The driver said it was due to bridge strikes, the station announcer said it was due to a passenger alarm on the train ahead. Whatever it was the train didn't seem to be due to move any time soon. Previously in the week the train I was on stopped just outside the destination station. For an hour and a half. This morning I decided I'd wasted quite enough time on trains this week, so I go off, came home, called the office and told them I was working from home today.

I can access all my files, e-mail etc via my home PC and broadband so I got as much done as I would have done had I been in the office, plus I did some extra saxophone practice at lunchtime, plus because I was home early I got some jobs done around the house that I would have otherwise had to do at the weekend. So now I'm looking forward to the weekend and anticipating lots of music classes and a visit to the pub tomorrow!

I was driving my youngest home, and played my latest Phamie Gow CD in the car. I asked her to listen to the 2 favourites of mine. She listened quietly. I asked her what she thought of them, and she said she didn't know what to say sad.gif I said it was OK, and she couldn't like everything that I liked. She said that wasn't the case at all, and it was so beautiful that she couldn't find the describing words ( she's 8 ), to say how lovely it was wub.gif rolleyes.gif
There were tears in my eyes.

Having an afternoon nap that lasted a good 4 hours, and waking up of my own accord, rather than being woken up by someone crashing about the place. wink.gif

At last, having a day when I didn't have anything which had to be done. I've done several jobs anyway, but it's been bliss knowing I could do absolutely nothing if I chose!

I've played the piano for 2 1/2 hours too (would have liked to play for longer, but didn't want to alienate my long-suffering Hubby - ours is a small house!). smile.gif

It would seem my head has at last decided to stop hurting.

I think. Actually, I think it might still be there a small bit but too little for me to notice now, after the last eight, yes, eight days of migraine smile.gif

Oh poor you sad.gif Soooo glad to hear you're coming to the end of it.

I don't have much to be happy about today apart from it's sunny and the dogs really enjoyed their walk and were bouncing all over the place.. even the old one with sore leggies wub.gif

I just have a dark cloud because I have soooo much work/studying to do.. which is why I'm wasting time on the computer... no really.. I'm going to go and study and by 4pm I'll be back to my happy old self laugh.gif

Watching my youngest play his trumpet in his teacher's students' concert - so proud. And he won first prize in the raffle afterwards! Not a trace of nerves - he just loved every minute of it. Eyes on stalks watching the bands and so proud to have borrowed one of their special bow-ties! biggrin.gif
