Apart from Methodist churches closing in droves.... unsure.gif tongue.gif

Mine is still open... unsure.gif

Good! smile.gif But I understand that the Methodist church is really going through troublous times at present. sad.gif

Yes, you're right, though I think it's not just the Methodist Church. Many of the churches closing are the smaller ones in little villages, but the truth is that the under fifties are not well represented in most Methodist churches, which doesn't augur well for the future.

There are not enough ministers in the pipeline, so that as ministers retire some circuits are unable to replace. A sign of the times, I fear! Still, Christianity has had its ups and downs for centuries now, and even if the traditional Church founders I hope the house churches will live on.

biggrin.gif Well don't blame me if it's an anti-climax now!

Quite a while ago I bought a secondhand book of pieces by Eric Coates, and it had what appeared to be Eric Coates' signature on it. But not having any idea what Eric Coates' signature looked like, I'd no idea whether it was genuine or not (although I suspected not!). Earlier today when I was browsing through The World of Music, which I've posted about on another thread, I found a couple of pages full of composers' signatures and Eric Coates was one of them. So it's not Eric Coates' signature on the book - mystery solved biggrin.gif

Has it really been that bad?! No nice food prepared, or at least purchased, by a loving parent/girlfriend? No beautiful music listened to? No joy in a holiday from college?

Come on, Ben - count your blessings!

Both sound very enjoyable...

Not so sure my family are enjoying a) my piccolo playing or b) having to practise runs ending in top top D..muahaha.

*has to get flute out to work out the fingerings*
Quite tired, so apologies if this is wrong or doesn't make sense

Left hand: thumb, 3
Right hand: 1, 2, C# key (both parts - sorry that was really poorly explained)

A flute apparently can go up to the F above that, but why on earth would you want to?

Sorry, what I mean is the key you'd press with your little finger as if you were playing a bottom C...

The end of my dissertation is in sight! (I'm currently taking a break from proof reading - meticulously going through every sentence of something you've spent that last 11 weeks creating is BORING.)

And I got given a glass piccollo as a present this weekend. New instruments are fun (and in this case unbelievable squeaky).

And I'm flying to Spain tomorrow.
