I fell in love with this piece of music, brilliantly played by Martha Argerich:

Cheap new books!! biggrin.gif

My OU course next year has three set books, totally £66.93 (RRP). There's also a book of essays that comes with the course material, but which was also published publicaly, so you can buy it to read it earlier if you want to, so when you read it during the course it's not your 'first pass' on the content. That costs £25.99. So that totals a lovely £92.92.

Searching online, Amazon was cheapest for all of them, but even so came to £79.37 for all four books (and would have free postage)

So I looked on Amazon marketplace, and eBay, and AbeBooks, etc, and I didn't buy straight away but kept looking every so often for when bargains came up. Today I was despatched the last of these books - I have spent a grand total of £36.22 including postage, I have got as-new, clean copies of the three set books; the 'extra' book I have a lightly-pencil-annotated copy, but as I am going to get a brand new copy of my own with the course materials I'm not bothered by that.

Could have been even cheaper if I didn't want unmarked copies, but it seemed like a nice trade-off between spending a fortune and getting good condition books smile.gif

My 2 year old baby finally getting better from his 'little' operation, (actually circumcision).

Now able to put his nappy back on after 10 days without. After lots of wee wee accidents he seems to be finally potty trained as well which is a bit of a bonus. (Sorry for all those non-parents who find this sort of topic bizarre!!)

Fo the past three days i've sat down and played through every major scale on clarinet with ease as well as whole tone and chromatics.

Bring on the Minors!!!!!!!!

I know it sounds trivial but I find clarinet scales really hard, however scales on piano and flute are so easy. hmmm weird

This afternoon, I accompanied my friend to a hardware shop, and emerged with a rather striking tri-colour duster with telescopic handle. It reaches the cobwebs that nothing else can! It has to be seen to be believed. If you can't reach to clean it with this, it's not worth cleaning! biggrin.gif

Is that the dreaded date? I vaguely knew it was the twenty-somethingth and that we'll need to be at home then. I hope it's all gone well for you and other forumites suffering exams.
