Taking my 16 yr old son to his induction day at college and hearing that he's enjoyed his first morning. This is especially wonderful because he was forced to leave his previous school in the middle of year 10, go to a referral centre to try and get some GCSEs because of the effect all this had on his health. He achieved 1 AS level and 7 GCSEs and has enough to go on. A new and much better chapter in his life started today.

I remember my first day at college, it is a much better chapter in my life than school (which was, to say the least, rather a bumpy ride). Hope he enjoys the rest of the day helly burnet.
Lunch made me happy.

Well, content anyhow- I found some cheese, and some freshly picked salad from the garden, and some other stuff, and had a lovely non-rushed sandwich, whilst listening to some lovely music. Then, just as I was about to leave the kitchen, I remembered Mum had said something about this sweet thing (she was given it by someone at church, from their holiday in Germany), so I decided to have a piece. It looked a bit weird, but it tasted good.
