I'm happy because I now have two unconditional offers from university under my belt! Roll on number three!... hopefully unsure.gif

Where from, if you don't mind me asking? What have you applied to do at uni? smile.gif

The two offers I have so far are from MMU smile.gif I was supposed to be going to uni this year but I had to take a year out because I moved to Manchester from Northern Ireland in the summer!

I've applied to French and English Lit. in MMU (separately), a joint honours course in French and English at Uni of Manchester and a Modern and Medieval Languages course in Cambridge. I really wanted to apply for music, but I don't have an oboe and therefore wouldn't be able to audition sad.gif

What are you hoping to do once you've done your A levels?

Thats a shame about not having access to an Oboe sad.gif

I'm hoping to go to uni to study Music and French, so i'm considering Cardiff, Manchester (but that means no French), Exeter (No music), Bristol, Leeds, Nottingham, or the University of Londond Institute in paris (only French, but where better to learn French than France!). I'm also considering a few music colleges, but only if they can offer me a year or 2 in France, or I might apply to study Music somewhere in France. To be honest, i'm not entirely sure what I want to do yet, but those are my options at the moment. smile.gif

Good luck with your Cambridge interview! smile.gif

Thanks happy.gif

French is a good option! wink.gif Of course, I might be biased, being half-French laugh.gif I would recommend the Conservatoire in Rennes, if you're planning to go to France. Of course, the Conservatoire in Paris is always a good choice! laugh.gif

But as it is now past my birthday (last week) I'm now prepared to start thinking about Christmas songs. To be honest though as I have 3 none Christmasy concerts in late Nov early Dec I have a feeling the Christmas ones may sneak up on me.

YES! THE C WORD!!!!

I've been getting excited since we went back to school.... I love this country, there's just one thing to look forward to after the next. September is good because you get back into the rhythm of school, then you have halloween in October, then bonfire night in November, then my birthday, then the c word!!!!!

Ach, love it.

Definitely! I also love the way the seasons change just as I get sick of the last one. So I get really excited about summer, and sunbathing, spending hours outside being silly, eating lunch on the field at school, sports day, holidays, the seaside, and then suddenly ka-bang, it's summer!

Then I get a little sick of summer, and how hot it is, and that there's nothing that interesting really, and the summer holidays are being very boring, and I start to crave roasted chestnuts, pumpkin pie, and ache to watch fireworks and have a bonfire, then what do you know, it's autumn!

Then it's getting cold, and I start seeing things in shops I'd love, or getting ideas about making presents for people, and start thinking about my birthday, and how much I love my family and friends, and the joy of sitting in front of an open fire, being all toasty, and how excited people get when it snows. THEN IT'S WINTER!!

Then it gets a little too cold, and I get sick of it being dark at 5:30, and I wish there were flowers, and wondering when it will be lambing season, and I can visit my friend's farm. Then it's spring!

And so the whole cycle starts again. That's what has made me happy today smile.gif
