New paintbrushes!!!! ohmy.gif

Atm I'm working on an acrylic of my grandad, and was getting really annoyed because the bristles kept falling out onto the painting mad.gif they were cheap reeves brushes, which I got a couple of years ago for my birthday, but they aren't very good quality, and have gone all flayed and the bristles stick out at odd angles, plus, like I already mentioned, they fall out sad.gif

It's another two months until my birthday, and any chance of new ones. Or so I thought....
Mum was going shopping, and without my knowing had gone into the little art shop, and has got me 3 winsor and newton galeria brushes!!!! wub.gif I'm SO happy, and grateful, and aaaahhhhhh I can't explain it! I've been playing around with them loads already. I've promised mutti a painting of anything she wants when I've finished the one of grandad.

Finding my phone! I lost it over a week ago- on the morning of my A214 OU exam- have looked EVERYWHERE. Nearly rang up to cancel it today, then I sent my daughter to tidy her room and it was there!

4) Being overtaken by a car which decided to go "Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!" as it overtook me. I assume the message I was supposed to receive was 'Get off my road', but the message I actually got was 'I'm a [piece of door furniture]'. I explained this to my husband when I got home and it made him laugh biggrin.gif

I only do it occasionally, and not to lure them in to traps! It's the easiest way to get medicine in to them - cut a malteser in half, drop the medicine on the biscuity part, give to rat. Who scoffs it down in glee, rather than strenuously objecting to the yukky tasting medicine.

Erm, what's made me happy today...not having to give any rats medicine for several months now biggrin.gif

OK, I'm now convinced! Will buy some maltesers to try in my rat traps, and will report the body count in due course ninja.gif

A gloriously sunny day in the garden. I have actually managed to defeat something like 12 square metres of brambles with brush cutter and secateurs. "Helped and applauded" by my two kittens and one grown up cat who then gave me a lovely display of how to chase one another up and down the wisteria and the kaki tree.

Thank You. You know after posting this I realised how big headed it sounded. I'm happy becauase people said I was good ohmy.gif blush.gif I really didn't mean it this way at all (hangs head in shame and blames tiredness) I was actually happy because it was a great night. I enjoyed my performance as well as listening to some really wonderful and beautiful flute playing (by the girl who attends chethams) She's amazing and still very young and to think I helped her with her music in the early days of her playing. She's definitely a performer of the future!! Championed by none other than Sir James Galway too!! I was also pleased the hard work of the organiser and all the youngsters paid off for them too. smile.gif

Just been to the most AMAZING party in the world!!!!

It was in a big hall, with about 15 fourteen year olds. We were each given a random number, then "tortured" one by one. I had to headbutt a plate of grapes until they were all smashed biggrin.gif other ones were walking along planks with an overflowing tub of baked beans on your head, having eggs thrown at you, having to dribble a ball wearing welly boots full of shaving cream, having balloons of flour/water popped over you, having a blindfolded person try to spoon feed you jelly and custard with a massive wooden spoon etc etc. Most of them involved mushy custard, bananas, jelly, spaghetti, and ended in everyone having a big fight.

I went home with a face caked, courtesy of a friend who gave me a 'facemask with things, and hair (which was backcombed and sprayed...) covered with lots and lots of squishy things. I've just washed it about 5 times, and used a lot of conditioner. AHH, so much fun laugh.gif
