Depends what you call a lot of money!

For an 18 year old student I have quite a high figure in the account balance section of my account overview.

I think most 18 year old students are grateful to have any sort of balance in positive figures these days! laugh.gif

I have LOADS of money... I just need to figure out what that little 'DR' thing after my balance means... Or that "-" they put on my paper statements before the figure...
Very confusing.

Hrm... karma?

What's made me happy today? Having lots of time to have another go at some of the grade 8 piano pieces.

Still wondering whether I could do an exam this year, but there's lots of work to be done on scales and arpeggios, and I haven't started a C piece properly. Quite fancy the Liszt if I can get it to a good standard - anyone done that one?

There was a thread on here somewhere about Anna Smith's death - in December, I think.

I'm slightly cheerful-er today because mwl1 is being a complete star. I've not been online much recently because doing anything other than lying curled up is excruciating - after another 2 trips to the hospital this week I'm hoping my GP might have some answers tomorrow. But Matthew is really looking after me... which has made me happier. smile.gif

I made it to Sainsburys. I now have fresh food to eat - I was down to my last tin of tomatos and running low on frozen peas.

Hope your GP comes up with some positive news Celeste and thankyou mwl1 for looking after her so well.

Extra-yay, because I can remember when I was in my second-first year of uni (as I called my restarted first year; there was my first-first year, which I dropped out of, and then went on to a second-first year, you see)...when my GP found me some painkillers that worked for my chronic illness/chronic pain that I had at the time. So very very nice smile.gif
Though you do appear to be reliving the pattern of my life, Celeste biggrin.gif

What's made me happy today is that one of my rats is at the vet having an operation. It's got to 12.30pm, and I haven't been phoned, which means the op has happened and they haven't had to phone up with News (which would inevitably be Bad News). So I get to phone them at 3pm to arrange collection time smile.gif And I'll have a happy rat minus a mammary tumour to take home and feed baby food and curly kale to biggrin.gif

And she's home. And fine. And more bouncy than any other rat I've ever had operated on before. She's completely not noticed the incision going along about a third of her body. She's boinging around the 'hospital cage' and clearly Not Pleased that she can't go in to the proper house with her friends. Still, I'm sure she will be happy with some chicken and vegetable risotto baby food which doesn't have to be shared.

Just looked again, she is pinging around like a real baby rat. I think she's been taking bouncing lessons from barry-clari yay.gif

I've been following the parcel's progress, and it kept going from the local Service Centre "Out for delivery" and then "Undelivered - adverse weather" but today it got here! biggrin.gif As did lots of other post, as the postman came!

Came home from work last night and was very pleased to learn that my daughter's grade 2 piano exam went well (according to her and my very non-musical husband listening through the door). Of course we have to wait for the result now which will take about 6 weeks here in Turkey but we are relieved it is over.

I am my daughter's piano teacher. (I trained as a singer but now teach EFL.) I'm wondering when I should hand her over to a 'real' piano teacher but we are both enjoying ourselves too much to think about that right now.

Also, my middle child was 6 yesterday. Had a lovely family time yeterday evening, can't believe they are growing so fast.

(Hardly ever post but pop into the forum almost everyday!!)
