I assume you've looked an have places in mind?

Erm, well, sort of cheating and looking local to where I currently live at the moment...trying to find out residence requirements to see if I could get away without having to move anywhere (thing is, if I were not working, my husband would have to be working, and his work is very much tied to where we currently live [20+ year client base built up])
Anyway, what has also made me happy today is the discovery that a redundancy lump sum is apparently tax free (up to a certain threashold, which I won't meet). But this means that what I will actually get on redundancy will be over 1 year's current take-home pay, and pretty much my running-the-house contribution for nearly 2 years! So it makes it all a lot more relaxing. It's just nice to know that as and when (and I suppose, technically,
if) it happens, I won't be in desperate urgent need of a new job, any job I do get can pay me a lot less, and I can consider things like going back to studying.
Not that my husband knows anything about the studying idea yet which is probably a bit naughty of me. But I want to work out how
I feel about it before I complicate things with how other people think about it.
