It actually went really really well (I think...) until I was asked to describe my family...I launched into a spiel, until I then proudly declared "Mon pere est le noir cheval" (my dad is a black horse) insteadof my dad has black hair! My poor French teacher nearly died trying to stop herself giggling, and burst into fits of laughter as soon as the tape was turned off!

My husband claims that at school he translated "Il etait en retard" as "He was retarded"!
It's all too easy to get the wrong word when you're thinking on your feet, Fran*Piano. At least you gave your teacher a good laugh! Hope you managed a good mark too.

but it was our youth drama group's junior production.
It was yesterday. We had previously contacted a seller on ebay and did a deal to swap dining tables for a cash consideration. Our Victorian wind out table was duly collected by the courier and he delivered a beautiful sheraton revival pull out table which has 3 leaves, and can seat up to 14 people.
I'm now scouring outlets for a couple more Victorian balloon back dining chairs.

Funnily enough, we have been watching some Lovejoy DVDs recently! And I have been known to buy and sell a few items.........
An excellent final rehearsal with DawnF for our recital on Sunday. If we play as well (or better) on Sunday we will both be well satisfied.

. We now know we CAN do it - we just need to hold it together in front of an audience now

Having completed all my Festival accompaniments fairly successfully.
A bronze awarded to one of my singers, for a rendition of Somewhere.

My brother (not the one that's at uni with me) is coming to stay tonight, and the three of us are going to go for a beer (or many) later on today!
Runthroughs of the summer show at dancing-we've performed it full-out twice today, I'm shattered but it's all coming together at last!
Seeing one of my pupils get a very well deserved local council Youth Award for his contribution to performing arts - and being the Star Award holder for his category (unexpected!), with a trophy and a cheque for £50.00. 
I was one of two people to put him forward for the award and felt so happy for him and his parents. An excellent evening, with much talent on show, and all organised by the young members of the local Youth Council. It is heartening to see how much creativity, iniative and goodness there is amongst young people, who so often get a bad press.

LIttle Jen swam in he first swimming gala last night. She came second in both races, and her club came first.

Completed a 7.5k fun run - walking some sections, and not my best time of course, but my friends and I hadn't trained at all so we decided it was safer not to attempt to run the whole way!

My migraine appears to have gone away at long last (6 days this time!)
I'm slowly but surely shedding the pounds. Woke up this morning, hopped on the scales and saw that I've lost 4 pounds since this time last week!
