I was collecting money in town today for GUide Dogs for the Blind and my faith in people has been restored - lots of people gave money and were really friendly.

It makes me happy when all you hear on the news is knife crime, murder, death etc

A students' end of year concert which went off ok - everyone seemed happy.

Son's last ever music centre concert, which went really well. It's so good to go out on a high note!

At work, my till balanced when I cashed it up, for the first time!

What's made me happy today... Lots of things. Amazing company, nice surroundings and compliments from someone who was obviously drunk, on the way home from Inverness.

Had my first shower in our shiny new bathroom (just to clarify we've been going to my mum's house for the past week whilst it was being refurbished, so I haven't been smelly all week!!)

Bought a new violin bow for my wife this morning, having had 7 on approval over the weekend from Elida Trading.

At the moment, more things have made me unhappy than happy...hoping the day will get better.

Managing to get at least some of my roses dead-headed this morning - in desparate need ever since the last heavy rain. Now I don't feel guilty every time I look out of my kitchen window, just pleasantly surprised that I've done it.

seeing some lovely old architecture, quaint old buildings in the City that I hadn't noticed before.

My best friend stayed the night last night and we had a great catch up So that's put me in a good mood today!

Never posted here before, but ....

I'm re-fitting my kitchen (ghastly job) and ordered a sink from an online plumbing firm, When it arrived, it was dented. The firm has no phone line, so I anticipated a lengthy too-ing and fr-ing to arrange a replacement, and since I had begun to fit the wastes etc I wasn't even sure they WOULD replace it). Added complication is that I have to be away from home from Wreds-friday.

Sent an e-mail Friday evening - got a reply this a.m: 'I've arranged a replacement, to be with you tomorrow on next-day delivery. Just dispose of the damaged one'.

I'm OK - just pretty p**d off about something, but fine, thanks.

It's 5am and I'm happy because the sky is pink with dramatic grey clouds.

I'm painting skies at the moment so I'm up early to photograph the dawn. It's not quite photgraph pretty but it's still quite nice and breezy so the clouds are moving fast: hopefully there will be something worth photographing comes along soon....

I'm also happy because my migraine has gone away

It's now 5.10 am and I think I should go back to bed (the sky is just grey now).

I'm shattered, having been up till the early hours of the morning, but it's all good because I've got my personal statement done

I may never say this again, but... Having my brother back at home has made me happy today.

My weekend was my most amazing to date as well... I'm now having to readjust!
